National Taipei University of Technology is one of the best universities in Taiwan and is influential on Taiwanese industrial development. The Department of Civil Engineering (CE) is devoted to offering professional knowledge and techniques in the planning, investigation, design, testing, construction, management, and maintenance of civil engineering related projects.

The Department of Civil Engineering is one of the oldest departments in Taipei Tech. In addition to thousands of local alumni, the Department of Civil Engineering has also been home to many international students from around the world, including two graduated classes of the Civil Engineering Elite program (50 students) from the Republic of the Gambia.

Both undergraduate and graduate programs of the CE department are IEET accredited. The IEET accreditation is issued to educational institutions by the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET), a non-profit and non-government organization. IEET is a member of Washington Accord, Seoul Accord, and NABEEA. As a result, being an IEET certificated institution, the degrees awarded by our department is recognized in many countries:
